Our Story

In 2020, after Hurricane Irma devastated the Bahamas, we mobilized quickly to help. Gathering provisions, medical supplies, clothing, and tools, we coordinated private boats and freighter ships to deliver aid directly to the islands. The entire community rallied behind the effort, with Chris Newman and Joe Brooks leading the sorting, packing, logistics, and shipping.

Soon after, the focus shifted from disaster relief to rebuilding. As the need for construction supplies grew, we began sourcing and delivering building materials to support the recovery. From that mission, Abaco Building Supply was born.

What started as an urgent disaster relief effort grew into a company serving all the Bahamian islands and the Eastern Caribbean. We provided materials for homes, new developments, and major contractors, while also supplying regional distributors and sub-contractors. From there, we expanded into domestic sales across Florida, supporting new developments and contractors with the same reliability and care.

Today, Abaco Building Supply is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, with an office and warehouse in Nashville, TN, and a Tampa location coming soon. Our goal remains the same: to serve our customers, both domestically and internationally, with quality materials at fair prices — delivered with speed, service, and trust.

We manage every aspect of logistics: air freight for urgent, same-day needs; container shipping to every island, including the most hard-to-reach; and inland freight that ensures materials arrive directly on site and on time.
