Initiated in March 2025, the Loubière to Grand Bay (Bagatelle) Road Project spans approximately 11 km between Loubière Bridge and the Grand Bay junction and includes comprehensive upgrades—road resurfacing, widened lanes, enhanced drainage, sidewalks, and improved bridges and culverts—designed to bolster connectivity and safety for southern Dominica. Funded jointly by the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) and the UK Government through the UK Caribbean Infrastructure Partnership Fund, the initiative reflects a major investment in climate-resilient infrastructure, resilience, and accessibility—especially for communities like Bellevue Chopin, Pichelin, Bagatelle, and Fond St. Jean. Abaco Building Supply ensured timely provision of essential construction materials—including paving aggregates, concrete, drainage components, and structural elements—working with local authorities and contractors to meet rigorous international safety standards and maintain steady progress.
